The community in which we practice and live has been an integral part of the success for the Truitt Law Firm.  In addition to giving charitable contributions to not-for-profit groups, the firm also donates to civic groups in some creative ways.  The members serve on area boards, volunteer on panels, and participate in various community seminars.  Responsible community partnerships with an impact that is real—and meaningful—epitomize our relationship with our community.  It’s just one more way to show our commitment to our community.

Our Counsel

Shira Truitt is the principal of The Truitt Law Firm LLC. The firmʼs current focus is Business, Family, Probate, and Education Law. Recently, she has been selected as a Hearing Officer for the State of Missouri in Special Education. Ms. Truitt serves as a Chair of the Central Catholic St. Nicholas School Board, Co-Chair for Horizon North Housing Incorporated and a member of the Community Investment Committee for the United Way of Greater St. Louis. In addition, she is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Gamma Omega Chapter; Mound City Bar Association; and the Urban League Young Professionals.   A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Southern University and A & M College.  While attending Washington University in St. Louis, Ms. Truitt earned her Masterʼs Degree in Social Work and Juris Doctorate.  Currently, Ms. Truitt is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Missouri and Louisiana and a licensed attorney in Missouri and Illinois.
